TIKONA FORT

12 kms from Sadabahar Moments is Tikona also known as 'Vitandgad' is the dominant hill fort in Maval in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 60 km from Pune The village nearest the fort is called Tikona-Peth or Tokono-Peth. The 3500 ft high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangle". The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', a water tank and some Satvahan caves. Trek organisers also commend the views of Pawna dam and the nearby forts of Tung, Lohagad and Visapur. There is a lake at the summit.

PAVANA RIVER


12 Kms from Sadabahar Moments when going towards Lonavla from the bass pass is Pavana river (Pavna). It is a scenic picnic spot for you to spent a few playful hours with your friends and family.

The backwaters of the dam are safe enough for playing in the water. During winters boating is also something you can enjoy here. It is a tributary of Bhima river and merges in the Mula river in Pune city.

It flows through Pune city and divides Pune City and Pimpri Chinchwad area. A dam is built on this river at Pavananagar called as the Pavananagar dam.

MULSHI DAM

20-25 Kms from Sadabahar Moments is Mulshi Dam, also know as Tata dam by the local people. Mulshi is the name of a major dam on the Mula river located in Taluka Mulshi. From Paud main market when you go towards Tambini Ghat, mulshi dam is enroute. Water from the dam is used for irrigation as well as for producing electricity at the Bhira hydroelectric power plant, operated by Tata Power Company LTD. The station operates six 25MW Pelton turbines and was established in 1927. It mostly supplies power to Mumbai.

TAMHINI GHATS

30 Kms from Sadabahar Moments is Tamhini Ghat. Mulshi dam and the surroundings are full of natural beauties that includes a dam, hilly region of Sahyadris deep forests and forts like Dhangad and Koraigadh. Water of Mulshi is used for generating electricity. It is one of the major electricity project in Maharashtra. The beauty of Mulshi lake can be observed from 'Valanewadi' - 6 Kms. from Mulshi. Sahyadri is famous for its deadly hills and its beauty. Both the things can be observed here. The Tamhini Ghat road also takes you to Harihareshwar which is a 2.5 to 3 hrs drive from here. Mangaon, Raigad and Kolad are also places you can go to from here.
